Dr. Shakina D. Rawlings
Senior Pastor
A native of Arlington, VA, Dr. Shakina Dunbar Rawlings has over 20 years of experience in ministry. Her love for people and ministry led her to receive her Bachelors in Sociology from George Mason University, Masters of Divinity from Howard University, and Doctorate of Ministry from United Theological Seminary, where her dissertation was entitled “Prophetic Preaching that Transforms the Leadership Structure and Development of the Church”. Dr. Rawlings is the visionary behind S.D. Rawlings Enterprise, housing Shakina Rawlings, LLC, a platform dedicated to ministry, coaching, consulting, and apparel, and Jireh’s Place, a non-profit organization aimed at equipping youth aged 3-21 with essential life skills. With over 14 years of experience in Operations Management, Dr. Rawlings brings a wealth of expertise to her endeavors. Dr. Rawlings is passionate about sharing the love of God, word of God and enjoys the ministry of preaching
and teaching.
Deacon Dawud Rawlings
Head Deacon
A native of Alexandria, VA, Deacon Dawud Rawlings has over 20 years of experience in community and youth development. With Deacon Rawlings' innate ability to reach young men, he founded Black Tie Mentoring & Young Gentleman's Group with a mission to "Educate and empower young men (ages 9-18) to reach their fullest potential through mentoring and etiquette practices within at-risk communities". Also striving to impact the community, he founded Real People, Talk About Real Things, a platform for everyday individuals who want to share his/her testimony to young men & women; Black Tie Chess Club, which teaches children the game of chess through life lessons; and Knowledge Is Power, a platform to educate the community on hot button topics that impact our local communities. Deacon Rawlings also owns P.U.R.E Essentials, which specializes in healthy alternatives.
Elder Chinaka A. Barbour
Executive Pastor
Elder Chinaka A. Barbour serves as the Executive Pastor of Kingdom Church. In this role she supports Dr. Shakina Rawlings and Head Deacon Dawud Rawlings in teaching God’s word through sermons, leadership training as well as encouraging leadership, encouraging congregants, and growing even deeper in studying and praying. Elder Chinaka has also facilitated a session of the “Power of Preparation” at a Women’s Empowerment Symposium. Other roles within Kingdom Church held by Elder Chinaka have been Director of Church Operations, overseeing Kingdom Support Ministries and Finance and Administrative Teams. Elder Chinaka earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, N.C. and a Master of Public Administration Degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. Professionally, Elder Chinaka oversees the management of the budget for the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department in Fairfax County, Virginia. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and playing golf.
